Glenavon vs Linfield: Danske Bank Premiership Preview

Linfield Aiming To Maintain Winning Momentum

After a narrow midweek victory over Crusaders, Linfield will be hoping to continue their winning run when they travel to Mourneview Park to face Glenavon on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues have won their last two league games and will be confident of extending that run against a Glenavon side who have lost their last three matches.

Linfield manager David Healy has a number of injury concerns ahead of the game, with Christy Manzinga, Kirk Millar, and Robbie McDaid all doubtful.

Glenavon Need To End Losing Streak

Glenavon have endured a difficult start to the season, losing their last three matches and dropping into the bottom half of the table.

Manager Gary Hamilton will be demanding a response from his players against Linfield, but they will need to improve their recent form if they are to get anything from the game.

Glenavon have a number of injury concerns of their own, with Matthew Snoddy, James Singleton, and Conor McCloskey all ruled out.

Head-to-Head

Linfield have won the last three meetings between the two sides, including a 2-0 victory at Mourneview Park in February.

Glenavon's last victory over Linfield came in April 2021, when they won 2-1 at Windsor Park.

Prediction

Linfield will be confident of victory against a Glenavon side who are struggling for form.

The Blues have a number of quality players in their squad and should have too much for Glenavon.

Prediction: Linfield to win 2-0
